Crown and Diet Dr. Pepper – It’s What’s For Dinner

Someone up in the Holy Sky must really love me and be looking out for me, because I got blessed with so much this past week. I got hired on to be the personal assistant to a very gifted director who’s shooting an independent feature in New Orleans this month and Thailand in March. Of course I said yes, because if I didn’t, that would classify me as a dipshit, and I’d rather not be known as that.

Yesterday was my first day on the job, and today was our first day on set. If I said it went smoothly, I’d be lying through my semi-straight teeth, but more on this later (I’ve been taking notes daily, so expect a full write-up in the coming weeks). Today was actually one of the longest and most stressful days I’ve experienced in quite some time, yet it was a day where I feel like I’ve learned and been gifted the most. I can’t really explain it, but I feel so thankful today, and I feel like my soul is being nourished, despite not having eaten a single vegetable all day. Whole Foods, you’ll see me tomorrow.

After working a 12-hour day and going through hell and back, I finally got home and plopped down on my bed only to begin studying for an audition tomorrow and reading a script for an audition next week. I also chose to have Crown and Diet Dr. Pepper over an actual dinner. This is how it begins.

I wish I had more energy to elaborate further, but I have to tend to my drink and the tabs currently opened on Firefox. Actors Access and Office Depot, I’m coming for you.

In the meantime, be thankful, be busy, and be blessed.

Talk to y’all soon,

Kaitlyn
