Friday Morning Words of Wisdom

I’m posting this from my phone because it was just too good not to share.

I’m at work right now, it’s 6:45am, and I’m texting a friend of mine who is also working at this grueling hour. We’re talking about boys, crushes, and our upcoming girls weekend to a friend’s cabin. Basic girl stuff.

My friend and I are notorious for reading our horoscopes and sharing the day’s forecast with one another. I checked mine, and it basically told me to break out of my comfort zone today and to stop being a pansy because love awaits. Right.

After sending her my horoscope and saying “I HATE LIFE”, I decided to check out the daily verse in my Bible app. If I neglect any app immensely, it’s this one, and I’m not proud of that. But I decided to check it today to see what God’s forecast for the day is.

Much to my surprise (but not really, because God speaks what we need to hear at the exact moment we need to hear it), the verse read:

“9 Rejoice, young man, during your childhood, and let your heart be pleasant during the days of young manhood. And follow the impulses of your heart and the desires of your eyes. Yet know that God will bring you to judgment for all these things. 10 So, remove grief and anger from your heart and put away pain from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting.”

Amen is all I can really say.

Rejoice in your childhood and younger days, because time is fleeting. We don’t know God’s agenda, so don’t question it. Just know that, in time, we will be taken care of. Our needs will be met. Our heart will know peace.

Have a most happy Friday. Rejoice in your youth!

Talk to y’all soon,

Kaitlyn
